I recently visited Alaska and met the author Lance Mackey(Musher,Cancer Survivor, Champion) who wrote a book.
Lance has an amazing story about his life. I’m a TA PRACTITIONER and one of the things that was so compelling to me was he remembered what his father said to him. In TA we learn about Life Scripts…we get them when we’re young. They come from verbalized messages from family members, churches etc. Living in Alaska his father wrote an autobiography “One Second to Glory”(a good read if anyone wants to know why people live in Alaska).
His father used to tell Lance “You ain’t nothing as a musher unless you win the Iditarod.”
First of all, for anyone who doesn’t know what the Iditarod is…it’s about dogs pulling a human being (dog mushing) 1100 miles in the snow..from Anchorage to Nome Alaska.
Lance WON THE EVENT TWICE!
Obviously, his father verbalizing this statement numerous times made an impact on his life.
Strokes….(3 sources of love PEOPLE,ANIMALS/NATURE/THINGS……Lance experienced all of these. What is your source of love? When you need a stroke, which do you seek?
It’s a great story…I recommend it. If you want your life script read, call me to make an appointment. There maybe some things about yourself you want to learn more about and this process in one way to do it!
