It’s been a long time. The summer is approaching us. Weddings, graduations, celebrations of all kinds. I wanted to share with you something very personal to me. I recently visited my home town in the mid west. I was welcomed with gifts and parties. I hadn’t seen some people in 20 plus years. It was like I never left. People live in the same neighborhood. Food is still a big part of socializing. The weather was similar to what I remembered growing up in Illinois. The key thing that stuck in my mind is how people (my friends) were so caring and loving. What is your definition of a friend? I know mine. A friend is someone who doesn’t put you down. Someone who authentically gives you a compliment. A friend gives big hugs and doesn’t let go.
I’m sharing my experience with all of you because it was real. I don’t know if you’ve experienced what I have,but if you’re having a difficult time understanding what a friend is, call me.
